Srijit Basu was born in Calcutta in 1986. Growing up his interests were poetry, cinema, music and sports. He studied Cinematography at the prestigious Film & Television Institute of Pune. His student film Prabhat Nagari won the best student cinematographer of the year by Fujifilm in 2012. 

 

Based out of Mumbai over the last decade Srijit Basu has worked in multiple award-winning commercials, short films, feature films, documentaries & web series. He is a member of the Western Indian Cinematographers Association (WICA).
